These terms are an agreement between you and [YOUR NAME / Hilltech — insert legal trading identity and ABN] ("we", "us") covering your use of the LaidOut app and website ("LaidOut").
LaidOut is a quoting tool for tiling professionals. It calculates job pricing from measurements and rates you provide, and — with an active subscription or trial — creates draft quotes in your connected Xero organisation.
Pro features require a Xero account, which is a separate service under Xero's own terms. You authorise LaidOut to access your Xero organisation with the permissions shown on Xero's consent screen, for the purpose of creating quotes and contacts. You can revoke this at any time in the app or in Xero's settings. You are responsible for having the right to connect the Xero organisation you choose.
LaidOut calculates prices from the measurements and rates you enter. We don't check your maths inputs, your rates, or your quotes. You are solely responsible for reviewing every quote before sending it to a client, including prices, quantities, GST treatment, and anything else. LaidOut creates quotes as drafts in Xero precisely so you can review them. We are not liable for underquoted jobs, pricing errors, or any business outcome of a quote you send.
The calculator features are free. Pro features (creating quotes in Xero and syncing rates across devices) require a paid monthly subscription after any free trial. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms; manage or cancel anytime in your store account settings. Cancelling stops future billing — it doesn't refund past periods, except where the law (including the Australian Consumer Law) requires. Prices may change; we'll give notice through the store before a change affects you.
Don't misuse LaidOut: no attempting to access other users' data, no reverse-engineering our services to bypass subscription checks, no using LaidOut for anything unlawful, and no reselling access. We may suspend accounts that do these things.
We aim to keep LaidOut running smoothly, but we depend on third-party services (Xero, hosting providers, the app stores) and can't promise uninterrupted availability. We may update, change, or discontinue features. If we ever discontinue LaidOut entirely, we'll give reasonable notice so you can adjust (your quotes live in your Xero and remain yours regardless).
To the extent permitted by law, LaidOut is provided "as is" and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees that services be provided with due care and skill.

You can stop using LaidOut anytime — disconnect Xero in the app and cancel any subscription in your store settings. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms. Sections about liability and responsibility for quotes survive termination.
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
We may update these terms; the date above will change and meaningful changes will be notified in the app. Continued use after a change means acceptance.
