LaidOut ("we", "us") is a quoting app for tiling professionals, operated by [YOUR NAME / Hilltech — insert legal trading identity and ABN]. This policy explains what information LaidOut collects, why, and what happens to it. We've written it in plain language on purpose.
LaidOut connects to your Xero account to create quotes on your behalf. To do that, we store your Xero sign-in identity, a secure connection token, and the rates and quote details you enter in the app. We don't see your Xero password, we don't see your bank or payment card details, we don't sell or share your data with anyone for marketing, and you can disconnect and ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your Xero identity. When you sign in with Xero, Xero tells us your name, email address, and a unique user ID. This is how your account works — LaidOut has no separate usernames or passwords.
A Xero connection token. A secure token issued by Xero that lets LaidOut create draft quotes and contacts in the Xero organisation you chose. This token can be revoked by you at any time (by disconnecting in the app, or from Xero's own "Connected apps" settings). We never see or store your Xero password.
Your rates and settings. The pricing you save in "My rates" — your per-m² rate, extras prices, GST preference, business name and contact line.
Quote details you enter. Client names, site addresses, measurements, and notes are sent to your Xero organisation to create the quote. We process this information to create the quote; the quote itself lives in your Xero.
Subscription status. If you subscribe, the purchase is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play — we never see your payment card details. Our subscription partner RevenueCat tells us whether your subscription is active so we can unlock Pro features.
Basic technical logs. Standard server logs (such as error reports) used to keep the service working. These do not contain your Xero tokens or passwords.
Your Xero password. Your bank account or transaction data. Your payment card numbers. Your location. Your contacts or photos. We request only the minimum Xero permissions needed to create quotes and contacts — we cannot see your bank feeds, payroll, or reports.
To operate LaidOut: signing you in, saving your rates, creating quotes in your Xero, and managing your subscription. That's it. We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for their marketing.
Data is encrypted in transit. Connection tokens are stored server-side and are never exposed to your device or to other users.
While you use LaidOut. If you disconnect Xero in the app, your connection token is revoked. If you want your stored data (rates, identity record, subscription record) deleted entirely, email us at [SUPPORT EMAIL] and we'll delete it within 30 days.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for corrections, or ask for deletion by emailing [SUPPORT EMAIL]. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
LaidOut is a business tool intended for people running or working in a trade business. It is not directed at children.
